ESTOPA


Estopa is my favourite group of music. Estopa is a Spanish music duo created in 1999, formed by brothers David and Jose Manuel Muñoz. They are from Cornella de Llobregat. David (1976) is the vocalist and Jose (1978), guitarist and co-vocalist. The lyrics are written by the two brothers. In 1998-1999 they recorded a demo with 40 songs at a friend's house using a track mixer. This model was released on tape through out Spain, once they will famous. After this tape, they realised some albums: 1999 "Estopa", 2001 "Destrangis", 2002 "Más Destrangis", 2004 "¿La calle es tuya?", 2005 "Voces de ultrarrumba", 2008 "Allenrok". They play pop and modern flamenco.
After his recording career they have received numerous awards:

* Friend Award 2000 Artist revelation.
* Amigo 2000 Award for best Spanish group.
* Premio Ondas 2000 the Spanish artist discovery.
* 2004 Ondas Prize for Best Album for "La calle es tuya."
* Cadena Dial Award for the most voted SuperDial record.
* Best Music Video at the fifth edition of the awards of the music with "Cacho a cacho.
* Award of Honor Cornellá hometown.
* Adopted children of Zarza Capilla, Extremadura

Makind is no island

1.It makes me feel emotional because it talks about a sad item. We love a lot of cities but we can't help the people who live on the streets.

2. It's emotional, interesting and sad.

3.It suggests me that not every body lives at the same situation. There are rich people and other people who don't have a house and they are poor.

6.Our city says: we'll look after you, your very own family. I've chosen it because it's a beautiful sentence and it says that the city takes care of us. It says as if the city is our mother.
